Love the rocker sole. I have a fused ankle and they help me walk correctly.I have been wearing MBT's for many years. I was so disappointed when they went out of business. The company was sold and the newer versions of the Kisamu were not as comfortable as the original ones and I could not even wear them. Now it looks like MBT is back again with all new styles and a even better bottom that will not blow out if it gets wet. These new version of the Kisamu are not as comfortable as the original as they have more narrow straps and not the same padding but they are much improved from the last ones and are quite wearable. They have a smaller profile than the original ones which is nice for a more feminine look. You do have to be careful that when you close the velcro it is right in the middle of the strap so it does not touch your foot or otherwise they will rub. This is due to the more narrow profile but if placed properly they seem to work pretty well.I love MBTs and wear nothing else. I found a number of years ago that I could do without my orthotics, and could wear sandals again. My only complaint is that in the pairs I have purchased in last few years the padding in the sole breaks down after a year or two and cannot be repaired. Tjis was not a problem in the older ones. As expensive as these shoes are, I would like to see them last longer. Is this planned obsolescence? Nevertheless, I continue to buy and wear them. The shoes are approximately the same size as the last shoes that I bought. The old MBT shoes were wonderful. I could walk 2 hours on the treadmill - 10,000 steps and not a blister or rub anywhere.I've had the shoes for a while and only wore them on the treadmill. The new shoes were worn while I worked on the computer the day that I got them. As it turns out, I got out of the computer chair 3 times and walked a very short distance. Then I pulled the shoes off because they were already rubbing across one of my toes. The skin had rubbed off (bleeding) and the heel strap had rubbed. The straps are smaller and not padded as they once were which eliminated blisters and rubbing. I'm disappointed because I will have to wear socks and moleskin again to walk the long distances, but do like the arch support. It would be my hope that MBT goes back to the padded straps. Thanks!BeverlyI have worn MBTs for many years and these are real improvement over the earlier version of Kisumu. They are far less clunky looking and just as comfortable. True to size, there is no need to buy a size larger because it will just be too long. As the tag on the shoe reminds you, the correct fit is to have the heal at the end of the sole. I am happily retiring my last pair of Kisumu (now seven years old!) only because they are dense foam on the sole is finally flattening and crumbling off. No complaints here! These sandals really hold up to hard and long wear, as they should for the cost. It took only one wearing of the new pair to get the straps adjusted to a comfortable fit. This is my first purchase of this brand. I usually like Ecco sandals. I must confess these are much better. They are pricey but I really like these. They look better on and feel better too. On my feet all day working, my feet nor my legs were tired. I will purchase another pair when I can.❤️I bought the original Kisumu 10 years ago for about $300. They have held up quite well considering the age, but have started to fall apart. I still wear them, but the support is no longer there. I was hesitant about purchasing the new version based on some of the reviews. So far, I am not pleased. In addition to the size changes, the materials and stitching are different. The original Kisumu required no breaking-in period and has more padding in the straps. This straps in this new version seem tend to rub my feet. Hopefully, with a breaking-in period and additional adjustments to the straps, I will get a good comfortable fit. I bought both the 36 & 37 since I normally wear 5.5-6US. The 36 fits and the 37 is slightly too big.I used to collect Ferragamo shoes. Now I collect MBTs. I wear almost nothing else since crediting MBTs with helping me to walk again without pain. I'm finding that I'm wearing this pair more than I had anticipated -- I don't wear much brown -- because it is so comfortable and does seem to go with a lot more than browns. Sizing with MBTs can be tricky though. I'm a true European 36 and true American 6, but sometimes MTB tries to tell me a 6 is a 37, which for my foot it isn't.Variously adjustable straps allow for a perfect fit. The rocking-bottom effect of the sole causes a slight sense of imbalance whereby you need to tense and relax muscles which would normally not get worked. Lower backache has vanished, and posture improved. I recommend this product. If you have bunions or ingrown nails they are very dangerous. Unfortunately I tried for few minutes to get used and now I have my bunions back and my toenails painfully.I don’t recommend if you have this kind of problem. These are my second pair. The first lasted 18 years. Obviously, I think they are great. I have awful feet, but these sandals adjust at all sections and are really comfortable.I would definitely recommend these if you suffer from painful joints in your feet.Fab u lous sandals, so comfy - the only shoe I can wear, luv them to bits :)
