Overall:Seem like good shoes, expensive, but with good arch support. I’ve given them 4 stars because I’ve only worn them for like an hour. I’ll update this review when I’ve worn them for longer. It's hard to take good pictures of your own feet, but I tried my best to get photos of how they fit. (And my cat photo bombed.)Background:I have plantar fasciitis and finding good, cute shoes is almost as challenging as finding good jeans. I have close-toed shoes with inserts, but I don’t have anything to wear with dresses or skirts or if I just don’t feel like putting on socks and shoes. I bought a pair of Vionics flipflops, and they were very firm and I wasn’t sure if I would like them—or if they’d help the pain at all—but it seemed I just needed to break them in and I like them a lot. However, flipflops weren’t really the kinds of shoes I wanted. Due to being flipflops, I tend to tense my feet up when I take a step, so they don’t flop too much, and that’s kind of exhausting and I don’t know that that necessarily helps out my plantar fasciitis. So I continued on in my search for cute sandals with good arch support, and man are those hard to find together! Eventually, I stumbled upon these. Expensive, and at the time I bought them, there was only 1 review on Amazon and 1 review on Vionic’s website. Because I liked the Vionics flipflops, I eventually decided to take the gamble and bought them.First impressions:They’re tall, a little more so than I think I was expecting from the pictures. It’s about 2” of heel. Not a complaint, just an observation. They seem a bit heavy. I’m not sure if that’ll mean anything while wearing them. The lining of the sole is something almost velvet-y. Very soft. I can tell immediately that wearing these shoes are going to make my feet sweat a little. I’m not sure yet if this is a deal breaker or not.The arch support seems good so far. It’s nice and tall, fits into my high arches very well.I saw the other review on Amazon (at the time of my purchase) says they were too narrow. They fit my feet well enough, but I have regular-to-narrow feet, so I don’t know how they would fit for wide feet. The straps at the front, by the toes, are not adjustable. Again, it fits me fine, but that might be an issue for someone else. The crisscross straps across the top are both adjustable however.I usually wear an 8.5 to 9 in size, I bought size 9 and that seems to have been the right call, so if you’re between sizes or unsure which size, I’d round up.Update: It’s been four months and I like them. I’m not pain-free with the plantar fasciitis, but I suspect it’ll take more than shoes to fix that. They’re cute and they’re comfortable. I was worried at first they might cause my feet to sweat, but so far that hasn’t been an issue. However, I’m leaving these at 4 stars because they are HEAVY. These might even be heavier than my husband’s steel-toed boots. It’s kind of ridiculous for a pair of sandals. It gets exhausting to wear sometimes, and the straps often leave nasty pressure marks behind on the tops of my feet from the weight.First I didn't like it but once my feet got used to it, then I like them. You have to get used to the hard arch that is supposed to be good for your flat foot. I almost returned them but after wearing them several times, I think they are the best sandals I own now. They make funny tan lines though... deal with it.These shoes provide excellent support for my arches, while being cute and stylish. The thicker sole has the added benefit of giving me some height!I bought this sandal and another style from Vionic. I chose to keep the other one only. This one, though super cute, didn't have the same arch support as the other. It also feels too sturdy and hard. I'm completely bummed because I liked how it looked on my foot, but I'll just have to keep searching. These are the most comfortable shoes. Vionic is a go-to brand for me. They are great quality, supportive shoes, recommended by my podiatrist.Let me start by saying the cushioning itself is heavenly. My issue arose from having small ankles, so some might not have the issues I had. I normally wear a 7.5 which is what I bought. The back strap was tightened as much as it could be, but I think it was still a little big. The sandal was comfortable for about 15 minutes, but then the top strap started to rub right above my toe, and the back strap started rubbing against my heel and caused the skin to break. Needless to say I was disappointed. Unable to return as I'd already worn them. I did return the other pair I bought but didn't wear, and cancelled the other one that hadn't shipped. I think this could be a very comfortable sandal depending on the person's foot.I like Vionic sandals as they have good arch support without having to worry about orthotics. Love these shoes because they are different stylistically, and give me an 1-1/2” of height without worrying about heels. So cute! These are cute and offer good support when standing, but they are very heavy when walking. The days that I wore them my knees ached by midday. I had to give them away.I have spent a long time looking for shoes with in built orthotic support that would also take my custom made orthotics. Most shoes are ‘old fashioned’ and although I am in my 50’s I like fashion and I love shoes! So I was delighted when I found Vionic. I first found Vionic sandals in TKMaxx and they were perfect, so my search began.I love that Vionic shoes come in half sizes, which was exactly what I needed. These sandals are just perfect. They feel substantial and the Velcro straps hold the foot in place exactly where it is needed. The material has a slight linen look. The soles are chunky and they look good on. You can feel the instant arch support. The soles are stiff and I am hoping they will flex a bit with use. These sandals are well made and I am so pleased to have found Vionic shoes and look forward to purchasing many more. This sandal is stylish yet the hidden support is perfect for pain free walking, for me anyway!Took me a couple of attempts to find the most comfortable tightness/looseness of the double strap but once I found it I could walk without pain all day!Bought these to relieve my plantar fascitis. They do and are comfortable. I read reviews and thought I would give them a go. I have now sent for a second pair. Bought size 51/2. True to size. The sandals are nice and even though I went up half a size the strap across the foot cuts into my foot. If they were leather this would have stretched out and ver a short time. These are lovely, had lots of compliments.I did think they would have buckled but the top straps have Velcro either side, not a problem though. Really comfy too
